INCEPTION
Students pay attention: STORY, STORY, STORY!
If you haven’t seen it, I’ll try not to give anything away about Chris Nolan’s Inception. This is brilliant storytelling. A master class in pacing. From the screenplay all the way to the editing. It doesn’t lag anywhere. The movie is about two hours and twenty minutes. It feels like a ninety minute thriller and it makes you feel like your in a dream within a dream. See it to understand what I’m saying. BRILLIANT!
The tech component—VFX—didn’t raise the bar like the The Matrix in 1999 but is gorgeous and fits the mood and style perfectly. I would however, call this a landmark movie for intelligent writing. The story line is very complex but never loses you.
This is an A+ movie and will be studied and emulated for years to come. Hopefully, someone will pen an intelligent zombie flick of this caliber. I can hope.
