Graphics Equipment
Graphics Equipment | Fall 2010
There is one requirement for the Graphics program. This is a must have. a 2 Gb USB Flash Drive. I highly recommend purchasing Two 2 Gb USB Drives. This drive should only be used in our lab for the Apple computers. Some drive claim to be both Mac and PC friendly, and though they work on both, there is often problems when saving both Mac and PC files on the same drive. To be safe buy one for Mac only. If you have a PC, don’t use your Mac drive in it.
Heres and example of a USB Flash Drive on Amazon.
You can find cheaper USB drives with more memory, but I find this one to work very well on the Macs
Another recommended piece of equipment for graphic designers would be a drawing tablet. This is not necessary but for class but you will to seriously consider it if you are serious about a career in graphics.
The most popular is the a Wacom tablet. There are many to chose from with different qualities and price breaks. Check the Wacom site for the different models. Make sure you check out the videos on the site. Here is the Wacom Intuos4 Small Pen Tablet I recommend for students at Amazon.
